You can meet people to date online just about anywhere now, even on Twitter. While Twitter dating is trickier than dating on Facebook or dating on traditional paid dating sites, you can still find your match on Twitter. Here’s a guide on how you can use Twitter to meet that special someone.
Picture
Put up a picture of yourself as your main image. Since Twitter pics are thumbnail size make it a bit more close-up than you would normally do. But since you can click on the picture to enlarge it, don’t upload a high resolution image, as no one needs to see your pores.
Bio
Write a little bit about yourself. Be witty and be yourself. State that you’re single but don’t necessarily write that you’re looking to meet someone to date on Twitter. As with everything on Twitter, be brief and informative.
Local
Don’t bother randomly adding as many members of the opposite sex as you can. Only add locals who share similar interests. Use Twitter’s search box to search for keywords that reflect your hobbies and interests.
Events
If you’re at some club or event, find local tweeters and comment that you’re also there.
Follow
Browse your friends followers and follow friends of friends. You can write and introduce yourself and let them know how you found them.
Retweet
Did someone say something funny or share an inspirational quote? Give them some credit and retweet it.
