Today, if you look in the Internet for Russian women, you'll come up with millions of pages and thousands of dating services, presenting beautiful ladies' profiles craving to find men from abroad.

The first impression - it's like a sea teeming with fish. Just dip your hand and fish out the prettiest one. But is this really that easy? Personally, I don't think so. And this view of mine is backed by enough facts to prove it's correct.

Statistics say 96% of the people who use online dating services fail to find a compatible person with whom to have a dating relationship. The main reason is because most people approach online dating services with unrealistic expectations and absolutely unprepared. When they don't find a perfect match after some short period of time they give up and try something else.

Despite what all dating services want you to believe, your perfect match isn't going to just fall out of the blue one day. It takes persistent searching, careful screening, and lots of women to contact to increase your chances of success. Keep your expectations low key; don't set yourself up for failure by getting too excited when you see an interesting profile.

Forget all the stories that dating agencies are spreading about marrying a Russian girl. Yes, you can find a woman 30 years younger, and even can marry her, but your marriage will rarely last for more than 2 years - the necessary time for receiving a Green Card.

Russian woman is not desperate to find a husband from abroad or immigrate from Russia. She's usually attractive, well educated and smart. And her goal is not your country's passport as you might think. She seeks a compatible partner

As anywhere else, Russian women are looking for attractive, financially secure, healthy guys. None of them would dream to get married to some ugly men with bad character and health problems, struggling with everyday survival.

Those times have passed forever, when some 5-10 years ago any foreigner could easily find in Russia a beautiful young intelligent lady 30 years younger than him, who was eager to become his wife.

If you ever happened to encounter some "happily ever after" stories that took place more than 5 years ago, be aware those rules have no effect any longer: the world has changed since then, and today's Russia is nothing like it was in the 90s.

Good news or bad one, but your foreign passport alone does not ensure your success with Russian ladies any more.
